FEMALE AUTOMOTIVE EMPOWERMENT - Hosted By Jimmy Butler Have you ever felt helpless when you car starts making that clicking or hissing noise, or when the pesky "check engine" light comes on for no apparent reason?! Do you wish you just knew MORE when it came to basic car knowledge? Well, many of us got the wonderful opportunity of learning more about important car repair basics at Our third installment of the Soul Sister Soirée events happened on a beautiful and sunny June day where we gathered for a picnic in the park and empowering car talk with Jimmy Butler, a former Master Mechanic and Engineer with over 40 years of automotive experience. Jimmy is dedicated to helping women, in particular, to feel less helpless when it comes to dealing with car repair issues. He is a member of the Women's Referral Service and is known for his honesty and experienced judgment in the auto repair business. His company, "Ask Jimmy" is a small company that represents customers when they need Auto Repair or Maintenance. His interests are to protect the customer by making certain that they get top quality service at a fair price, and only pay for repairs that are necessary. Jimmy was just great!! He covered a plethora of automotive topics. We learned everything from basics of an engine to how to talk to mechanics (what to say, and what not to say!). I personally walked away with a great deal of knowledge and feel much more empowered when it comes to having a discussion with anyone about car issues. And yes- we did learn about what causes that "check engine" light to come on. Simply put, many times, it is due to an emissions problem, which is usually caused by a loose gas cap. So, next time you think you're due for a major repair when that light winks at you- pull over and tighten that gas cap- see what happens! Jimmy and his company- "www.askjimmy.com" are part of our RAY-Source business network. |
